Solid fireworks are *really freaking weird*. So, when you place them, after a few seconds, they'll start to disintegrate, like goo under pressure, except they won't disappear. Then, when you light them on fire, they'll instantly flatten everything with a wave of 256 pressure, and then just sort of sit there after only a tiny explosion. Also, liquid fireworks are more effective than their powdery counterparts.
