I will say, the next organism will have central body heat (finally, the reactor will be used instead of aray and glow), ambient heat, will likely be able to eat acid, gel, and several other hazardous materials. I am still working on how/if I should implement an insulation and cooling layer. There will be no portal storage system, and the organism will be much "smarter" (more electronic controlled processes). So any bugs with this organism.
That being said, the goal of any of my organisms is not to be perfect, but to be interesting to play with. I personally loved messing with other organism saves before I made mine, but the goo would always break, or the insl would burn. I guess I wanted to keep all the flaws, but make it more physically robust.
Thank you again for bringing this up. Experimental and broken organs are a tricky situation. If we are being honest, I somewhat like keeping them in. After all, unless surgically removed, our appendix only causes us problems, so I feel like organs that were once useful will be kept.
and the system blocks after a while
OK but does that mean that the broken experimental organs will get reworked?
wow, I literally found out what it was supposed to be used for.
Ah @supercrafter, thank you so much for pointing this out. When I redid a few of the portals about a year ago, I believe I must have forgotten to link that tank up. It did originally have uncompressed deut in it. Work is being done now on a version two, (ignore any other prototype organisms, those were concept builds). The second gen organism features ambient heat, as well as improved (but not perfect) protection from hazardous materials or outside hazards.
can you explain why there's a giant unused tank that appears to have no entry and no exit? you could use it as a decompressed deut storage.
uh oh, looks like i accidentally downvoted this in the past
@DogeIsCut. It is a machine. It does get its energy from food (see the nuclear reactor located within). I ate some olive oil today with some pasta and bread, and I am still here. (tho if I do die, its going to be from the carbs and not the oil).
