    i dont know how pistons work :) but they move in omnidirections :)when i want only up piston it moves down

    V-8's and V-6's and such engines can not be done very well in tpt (they can be done, but without pistons, and I don't like engines without pistons), you are much better with inline engines, like an inline 5 on an audi quattro s1. I made one, I think it turned out well. You can make pistons in those engines pretty easily.
