Uhm, yeah, the dray is there because the pscn and nscn that spawn there are in "life state 4", that is, they've just been sparked, so they won't spark their neighbours just yet. They'd go to "life state 3" in the next frame, but that's when the cray kills them, so at the end of the previous frame the dray copies them up. In the next frame the copies reach life state 3 and spark the piston, then the dray copies air over them. It's all particle order.
