They were designed to be heat proofe, as there fusion shields just vaporize shots and such, causeing it to become a light, sort of dence, super hot vapor. That useually solidifies on the craft, giving it more armor.

(because them and possunians are dire enemies)

Realizing they've lost, the remaining lexombies on the surface make a final stand. After fierce resistance against Eularian and possunian troops, the last few lexombies set off a bomb, obliteratng all troops nearby.
