    you need to hook this up to a maze bot (DTEC systems for inputs, move signals for outputs) and see if it can do it faster than the left hand rule. having something for it to do would help you build a better brain. and +1

    You could also possibly combine this with more conventional systems, so that the neurons are used somehow to process data which is written to and read from, for instance, FILT memory

    Forming entirely NEW connections would be possible but impractical. You could, however, use connections which are present from the start but remain blocked and unusable until they are 'awakened' (just use SWCH that can only be triggered by some specific event or process)
