This list shows the top three tallest towers. #1 Tokyo Skytree, #2 Canton Tower, #3 CN Tower. Please keep in mind that a tower and building or "skyscraper" are two diffrent things. So there will be no Burj Khalifa, because it is not a tower.

  Now about the Eiffel Tower, the Eiffel Tower is a tower by definition but only 984 feet tall so it wouldn't be close to being on the top three list.

  @flubber5 Good question, a tower is a "tall man-made structure, always taller than it is wide, meant for regular access by humans, but not for living in or office work, and are self-supporting or free-standing, which means no guy-wires for support." Unlike a building which is used for living or office work and sometimes wider than it is tall.

  What is the difference between building and tower? And, i might be wrong, but what about Eiffel Tower?

  @CHEM The Burj Khalifa is not a tower, it is a building. That is why it is not on the list.

  I am considering that actually as I plan to make a save devoted to the tallest buildings, but because the Burj Khalifa is not a tower it would not be appropriate to be included in this list.
