    I make a bunch of steel factories and enter the Industrial Revolution. I burn tons of fossil fuels in my factores to stop the ice age. BTW, shouldn't the sea be receding because of the Ice Age?

    Hmmm, lath seems pretty well off, I go crush him. I also send expeditions VERY far north onto the ice sheet, to the point where the if is > 3 meters thick, then I have them dig a .5 meter deep rectangle into the ice, line it with cloth or some material that dosen't conduct heat much, and place a metal container (think shipping container) in the hole, they then expirement with heating the container until they come up with a nominal way of maintaing temperature.
