    My Theory: the fire burns until the hygn on one side is depleted, so it catches fire on the other side until that runs out. And Repeat.

    It is because of the constant change of temp. The oxygen and hydrogen both are a 22'c when they hit the fire. This gets superheated into plasma but the oxygen and hydrogen cool it down at the same time

    if you get rid of the fire, its just left with a moving column of hygn/oxyg. no fire or plasma
