My own 3D Engine written in Lua,I am currently working on Lighting and drawing triangles in right order.This is completly diffrent from classical plotting.

    I think that this still deserves to remain on the front page. We aren't just copying and pasting from a movie or a picture from images.google.com, like soeone who I won't name, but whose 'artwork' is found on the 2nd and 3rd page. This probably actally took work. Like defining the image, and this is just neat looking art anyways. I hope that the mods hear me out.

    Either way it looks cool and trippy which I like. And really gives any 2D image form.

    Meh, performance. Setting table indices in Lua is (I think) faster than placing particles, and you'd have way more trouble ordering the triangles properly. Real-life graphics cards too use z-buffers.

    Well CGI is kinda in this but it is not a real and full image (color wise) so I could see this being fine and if its just to make it 3-D then its fine and not over used. It looks cool too 1+
