The 'Alchemist' device stores SPRK in a particle of DEUT, to be retrieved later by whatever means you desire. In real-world terms, it converts electricity into potential energy.

Hence the name 'alchemist', because it violates several natural laws in a way which appears somewhat magical (also for the next development of it, which I haven't posted yet). And Yuco (or anybody else), yes you can use it, as long as you give credit for it.

DEUT is interesting for some of its conservation-breaking properties, which is mostly why I like it. Attempting to use DEUT to mimick properties where conservation is significant, is amusing. =P

I dont see deut as being a cheatish fuel at all, if you can work with it right, it is VERY powerfull, and i like that aobout deut!
