    the only problem i can think of is: how are we going to safely insert deuterium and protons with irradiating the place the reactor is?

    And to think, the reactor wouldn't break even when it's out of fuel... All it would need then is to have some protons re-injected into the reactor chamber along with the deuterium.

    I did notice that there wasn't much destruction to the device itself after all was said and done... Due to the fact that it was under negative pressure the whole time.

    you could actually make a reactor out of this, efficiency won't be that good overall, but hey, power is power nontheless...
