choruseye: I guess a fix would be checking both midpoints if there could be two. But that would break a ton of electronics.

So if this favouring the top and not the bottom thing is the cause, is it a fixable probblem? Or is this "bug" oone that can not be fixed unless you re do electronics?

@Jacob1, thanks for your explanation. It is one strange "bug". Thanks for all comments

SopaXorzTaker: absolutely nothing to do with particle order. It's just the formula for finding the middle particle.

@sopaxorztaker, that is interesting. Thanks for the comment

This is a pretty well-known thing (if you are into electronics at least). I'm sure you know that most elements don't conduct 2 spaces diagonally, the diagonal sparks are usually down one / right two or something like that. When it tries to conduct, it looks at where the middle of the two particles is and tries to find an INSL there. The issue is that there isn't a clear middle particle for that diagonal case. It seems that it favors picking the top of the two middle particles.

    Wow! That's interesting.

AFAIK, this is because of the order of the particles handled.

Hmmm, interesting find, very odd indeed
