So I guess it's finally that time when subframe has become known and is widely used. As FuriousWeasel would say, "I like it!". The purpose of this save is to clear up at least a few questions about subframe. *** Updated logos.

@QuanTech For reference, this is used in the "2nd gen. adder" within id:1743359. You can see the PSTNs on the right pulling up some CRAY and constantly resetting the line of done pointing ARAY. Sadly, and sometimes necessarily, PSTN doesn't push all particles in a layered "stack." Mecha-man's layered "double CRAY" can be seen to the left of virtually every other adder or counter of the save. Very useful for ARAY "arrays." "Who ever knew how apt a name it would be?"
-
@QuanTech A solution could be CRAY(INST) positioned below both sides of the ARAYs and CRAY(SPRK) + INWR at the right and use PSTN to pull them up into position beside their respective PSCNs and reset arbitrary numbers of INST every frame. "Particle ID coaxing" by placing a particle where you want its _particle ID_ to be when the simulation starts and then using PSTN to set where you want its _position_ to be.

+LBPHacker yeah.. when you have giant walls of arayguns, you almost always need DRAY...
-
@QuanTech: No hax at all. It's totally doable without DRAY, it's just that I like to do it with DRAY because most of the time I build massive walls of south pointing arayguns and then it's just easier to use the DRAY method.
-
@RoyalfleshRUS: Particle counter as in ...? Like something that counts how many SAND particles there are in a container?
-
yo LBP, someone performed hax and made downward and southeast pointing arayguns without dray! id:2028419
-
it possible to make subframe particle counter?
-
spark spark spark spark spark... okay i think i've said spark so much that im beginning to question what it is and what it means...

This save, id:2028891, shows how DRAY can be used to "reset" a conductor from "x/y space" above or below (AKA processing time before or after) the target active elements. You can also see how particle ID ordering and placement as well as sparking a newly reset conductor before or after DRAY copies it over affects whether or not an active element can be activated by the target conductor.

There is. There are even older comments around that'll help you get south and southeast sparking working. That's what I meant by tricky.
