    Just make sure to use it sparingly, otherwise it turns into overpowered super-weaponry

    minecraft-physics, I'l give it a try, that sounds fun. The devs could just make a new gunpowder element, the way they did with the fireworks.

    Probably never going to happen because backwards compatibility is important to these devs. On the other hand, SNOW with ctype DMG is a very passable replacement.
