    @KungZacharias: It's not a CG. Everything was done using the elements and tools of TPT, mouse and keyboard only. Based on image acquired from the internet. Thanks for the visit.

    NoVIcE: This is interesting, however, these were not the only black holes ever colliding. The were millions, if not billions, earlier and there will be billions more. The unique opportunity was the fact that they were quite close while quite dense, allowing us to dtect their gravity this far away. This kind of makes it rare. But still not as rare as if that was the only event of its kind.

    Cool +1 Btw the detector was built as if just in time to detect the waves travelling for billions of years, if they collided 50 years or so earlier we may still wouldnt know about them.
