And what about cryovolcanicism... (triton)
-
Oh same with Europa too.
-
Io is a example of geologic activity working in the Solar System, other than Earth and probably Venus.
-
Assuming that said moon is of the same mass as of Triton and is as close as Triton is as to neptune as Planet 9 is supposed to be as massive as Neptune as per previous calcs from actual astronomers. This moon is not supposed to have Geological Activity of this magnitude, sure Cryocanos and other Tectonic shifting is considered as geological activity, but not actual exploding volcanoes.
-
And of course constant collisions also heated up the young solar system.
-
Iconoclast This moon would be able to have geologial activity due to Planet 9s high gravity. If the moon rotates close enough the roche effect would heat up the planet and tidal forces possibly create geological activity. If the moon also contains high quantities of radioactive materials that creates heat that would also heat up the core. Radioactive materials such as uranium was the reason why planets and other celestial bodies in the young solar system was so intensely hot.
-
anyhow +1 for attempt.
-
There would be no geological activity due to how cold it is at that distance from the sun, even then if it is close to the planet it wont even make earthquakes as the core of said moon would be probably already frozen.

i like this. i like it a lot.

secretoniumite thats what ore it is XD
