re Bortan: you are right, but Lovecraft was so awesome because he was way ahead of most of the fictional novel writers back in the days.He was the first to exlplore the idea about all the chaotic unknown sides of the universe and reality.I do think he affected way more than the Lovecraftian horrors today.Anyways, nice suggestions on the glow effects!

Also this is pretty cool, but I think it would be nice if it lit up or something. Maybe use Exot to make it glow?

Also, while his works did inspire a whole subgenre (Lovecraftian Horror), I feel like it's a bit much to say it affected *all* the horror novels and games after it. Hints of cosmic horror can be found in games like Mass Effect and Dead Space, but these go against Lovecraft's original theme in that it is possible for us to triumph. One of the overarching themes of his works was the idea that we are small and insignificant in the face of the Universe, and in the end all our works are futile.

Honestly, while Lovecraft's works were hugely influential, I personally think that the quality of his written works is way overexaggerated. I do enjoy the Cthulhu Mythos, but I tend to prefer works based on it mor than his stories. They are much better in an audiobook format, although that is dependent on who is reading it.
