In their head lies the organ that produces the slime, they seem to draw their nutrients from the substance and it explains why they have to transform the landscape. Multiple workers report being "assaulted" by the trees, and have the cuts and strangulation marks to prove it. Animals have also been peculiarly absent, although multiple observances of a strange pale white deer of immense size have been documented. Native villages in the area have been questioned to little response.
