NuttyMcNuttzz Those are all barbarian tribes living in the tundra. They have no set infrastructure and their territories are based on clans and chiefdoms. Very few large towns exist out there, and they are far between. The tundra is a wild place of wild people, and angering the tribes will most likely result in warfare.

NuttyMcNuttzz The rest of the ingredients are sulphur and petroleum based, so go find some volcanic grounds. Wastelands are good places to find sulphur. And maybe dig around your mountains for some fossil fuels, you already have coal.

Are those all AI nations?

Axes have been developed, and 200 troops worth of axemen have been mobilized. The large rolling shields are impractical in mountain warfare but can be effective if the enemy has the high ground, as being trapped in a valley will mean a rain of projectiles that your soldiers will have to deal with.

Have them forge axes. I then create 200 special units, composed of men with axes and shields. I also build large rolling shields to protect the archers. I also develop Greek fire

Think Nordic Claymore swords from the 1200s

NuttyMcNuttzz Iron primarily, steel for the upper classmen and officers. 1 and 1/2 feet in length on average and designed for hacking and gutting. Double edged. Your blacksmiths are very good craftsmen and can forge some of the finest swords in the land.

How good are my swords? I also begin designing shields
