A nuclear thermal rocket powered exploration craft. Also has a 500 kW fission reactor for power. Engine controls can be found on the control panel in the cockpit: lower button activates engine and upper button turns on afterburner (LANTR NTR)

I've heard of the same conept and played around with it in the KSPI mod, it's really cool.

The BOYL is spawned into the heating chamber directly via CRAY, with OXYG appearing in a similar manner. A little known fact is that BOYL reacts with OXYG, producing extra pressure, so I used this to make an "afterburner" effect (a real world concept for nuclear thermal rockets was injecting liquid oxygen into the hot hydrogen flow for added thrust at the cost of efficiency)

sentinal-5: Yeah feel free, it's just a standard NTR design. I've been working on one capable of supporting far higher pressures and temperatures (as high as 6000 C) using some neat mechanics I "discovered"...

WOW!! this is astonishing!! i hadn't opened it until today and i was missing out!! probably the best rocket engine i've seen in TPT. Do you mind if i copy the design to have a play around with it?
