tptQuantification 13th May 2023I've got some control logic, like if a=b then pass signal_1 else signal_2, and if a=1 pass signal_1 else signal_2, but i'm a bit unsure how to use that to control adresses and stuff. I understand conceptually but putting it together is a whole other deal.

tptQuantification 13th May 2023I'm brainstorming archetechtures for the planning stage of my filt/aray computer. i've been a bit sidetracked though, because of technical challenges..I'm unsure what operations the control unit should use. arithmatic and logic are handled by an alu. Whats a good minimal control unit instruction set in your opinion? things like MOVE REGISTER_A TO REGISTER_B. And if you have any advice on general flow and setup of a cpu and how it handles I/O on a data bus, that'd be great to hear.
