i just looked it up for the 2nd time nuclear engines do utilize fusion. but just give me a week to to build a prototype to prove you wrong.

a nuclear engine is literally just a nuclear reactor used to heat up a fuel which causes it to expand and exit the nozzle, generating thrust. there is NO fusion involved at all. if there were, it would be called a fusion engine, NOT a fission engine.

if i use hydrogen it also causes fusion here, which is not realistic so thats why im not using hydrogen.

if i actually make fuel rods it wont work, cause they take up too much space, and no there is not fusion in fission engines. i suggest you try to google instead of trying to prove a fact wrong.

and just because it has uranium in it does not mean that they are "fuel rods"

there is no fusion in nuclear engines, and this does have uranium fuel rods.
