    @peacefrog Evangelicals want the world to end ASAP because that means they'll go to heaven instantly ("be raptured") and (to them) heaven is the best conceivable place to be. I'm not passing any judgement here (and neither should you), that's just what they believe in.

    no, I meant its almost time for us Christians to be raptured before the 7 years tribulation. After that is when Jesus returns. :)

    The time is almost upon us? I'm no Christian but I'm reasonably sure that when that Jesus dude comes the world is meant to end? And that's now a good thing?
