doesnt work against armor that takes extended periods of time to penetrate, as the filler will explode when its inside the armour rather than through it.

    So there's an confusion right here, or, in the case I'm wrong, I apologize, but certainly, this looks more like an HEAT than an APHE.

    This is actually an HEAT. HEATs makes shaped charges, which this one does. APHEs by the other way, the penetrate first, and when reaching a centain point, they explode inside the armor or inside wherever it is.
