They're not useless as such but probably overkill. Sure, you can just disconnect all the wires and spark everything on. But I don't think the eruptions look as good IMO. There's also not that much electronics,It's essentially just a bunch of random switches with lots of wire. With some planning it could've all fit in a much smaller amount of space but i was winging it and now I'm too lazy to do anymore with it. -

This is GREAT!!!! just one thing. when it explodes, not enough height and wow in it. The way to fix it is: put thermite in the water. Also, if u go on TPT website, u will find the CB's there!join if u wan -

fsjd 9th May 2011this creates a decently realistic volcano. the biggest point is to get different layers, and yours does it just find. dont worry bout increasing the heat level. works great.
