    We talking about nucleus fission ? The half-life is independent of pressure, that is, doesn't make uranium or plutonium to fissile faster.

    actually, uranium generates heat under presure, and fissions at a far faster rates same goes for plutonium, they also release neutrons at a faster rate. hence the reason plutonium feels like a hot kettle
