I guess you didn't read the forums about rules when suggesting new elements. (These have already broken on of the the first rules, they're all pointless, or their role has already been filled.)
Tree- could be helpful at times. Soil, only 1 use. Steel, we have iron, metl, bmtl, u really need more? Ice vine, draw it on.
I don't like the idea of ice vines, but I do agree with all of the others.

Soil was rejected (I think) but it was added in a mod called powder sim. Go download that on the website. Seed- you can just draw with vine. Ice vine I am pretty sure will be rejected. If you want to get this anywhere, post this on the forums, and get REAL feedback.
you can get steel as bmtl if you melt iron and coal or bcol together, this is almost the true formula for steel so it should do, other fact is that steel conducts heat very very poorly.. just go with bmtl
seeds maybe, but not really much uses for other elements.
