  Did you say gravity VERTICAL? We're in space. The center of mass in this scene is the asteroid. And I don't really care if we have to deal with iron first, as long as we get the BREL

  N-on. gravity vertical. replace iron around probe end with METL. it will melt and be disposed of earlier. otherwise iron fills probe.

  no-no-no-no. put a red pixel sticking out of the tip of the probe and it works much better. (i think before you meant the one missing where the probe connects to the ship)

  @john-taylor I've already built a ship very similar to that, but with no hangar, since a hangar is huge and heavy while serving little purpose on a cargo ship. Why take a shuttle when you can dock?

  I've heard of it, but I don't know much about it. Presumably, the ship "mines it somehow" with equipment operated by the crew, not anything centered around the ship itself. So, no, I won't make it.

  Try making a cargo ship with some lasers on the top and a hangar in the front below the cockpit.
