    the problem is that his devices are incompatable if they can't change their clock rate...he's creating a monopoly...I'll try connecting something of yours to it.

    your syncronzer + an AND gate would work. but I tried manualy inputting data and it said it was only 1 repeatedly

    it possible make serial without clock, but it work much slower. And time of transmit will variable from digit to digit... Though ... there is a variant, you can try to generate an internal signal clock, knowing a priori the transmission frequency. Or you can send a few pulses to determine the frequency. It will be interesting project anyway.

    all wire logic is very sensitive to synchronicity of input signal, so FAST AND GATE is not exception
