I meant the relative sizes of the numbers.

    You said:
I think if oxygen had to be a necessary component of combustion, the PT would really lose all of its fun...
If it makes you feel better MasterMind, you can imagine all of the current explosives are currently mixed with a self oxidizing agent, like potassium nitrate or potassium perchlorate...

Ok thanks It's true then it would really slow down PT but It's making the game less realistic, but if the goal of the game is to have fun, It's alot better like that.

what if pressure effected combustion, negative pressure extinguishes fire while positive pressure enhances it

hmmm, on the WIKI it said that PT is an advanced sim. it wouldn't be very advanced if it weren't realistic... besides, I wouldn't mind having to use oxygen. if Oxygen was available, couldn't we also add an oxygen sensitive explosive? I could make a bomb based off of a Macgyver episode

to be fair, lets make a combustion sim on/off switch. If the combustion sim is turned on,the fire will need oxygen. If the combustion sim is turned off,the fire will not need oxygen.

no, if you want to see the lag that would be created by this in order for it to be working realistically, go and flood fill an empty scene with gas. because there is air all around us always and that is how that would have to be handled.
