Uh yeah, nah it wont work, PERIOD. (Full Stop)
How 'bout making a version of TPT on the 'beefier' Wii U? Just like Minecraft on the X-box, but maybe you could add extras considering the lager size of the memory, etc. Maybe optimise it for the GamePad and, maybe, just maybe, put a VERY small price tag on it, but make it worth the 3-5 dollars it should cost, by adding premium content, etc.
PLEASE CONSIDER IT!
Nintendo has belived fo many years in making their consoles easier to program for, leading to fantastic 3rd party games.
Maybe introduce versions for other home consoles as well.
Also, @Candunc, try and have an open mind. The Powder Toy if fun and silly, but can create some amazing works of art, (and destruction) and with the new Miiverse on Wii U consoles, that would be a premium oppertunity to share, and hopefully bring in more people who think that a 3 - 5 dollar price tag isn't too much of a road block for this wonderful simulator.
To people out there who don't think the Powder Toy could make it to the E-shop, actually, with the introduction of the revamped e-shop, many games from companies (and people in their bedrooms programing all day) tend to have thier games being put on the 3DS/WII U, as long as the games are lengthy, beutiful, of high quality, hardly and bugs and in the nintendo spirit. (Notice hardly and nintendo games get patched)
Still, I agree that the 3DS could never handle courrent powder, and 3DSXL powder would look horibble (lower pixel density) but what about a version for the Wii U? It's alot beefier, with HD input, a larger screened 'GamePad' which is also HD and think of all the social features that could be added thanks to Miiverse?
No. TPT won't be paid, it is an open source project.
Someone has made a "powder toy" for IOS already... (However it doesn't have a lot of features like the one on his site.)

Just saying...
