    MTHN

    Description:

    Methane. Burns blue, is flammable.

    Autoignition temperature 537 °C, 999 °F

    Reactions:

    MTHN + 2 O2 lit on fire = CO2 + 2 WATR

    (CH4 + 2 O2 → CO2 + 2 H2O)

MTHN being next to sparked PLAT should produce MTOL, see below

    Also produced by:

    While at or above 300C:

    CO2 + 4HYGN = MTHN + 2WATR

    (CO2 + 4 H2 → CH4 + 2 H2O)

    MTOL

    Description:

Methanol. Liquid methane, a highly combustible fuel. Burns blue.

    Autoignition temperature 470 °C, 878 °F

    Reactions:

    2MTOL + 3O2 lit on fire = 2CO2 + 3WATR

    (2 CH3OH (or CH4O) + O2 → 2 CH2O + 2 H2O)

    Can also be formed by:

    While at or above 250C:

    CO2 + 3HYGN = MTOL + WATR

    (CO2 + 3 H2 → CH3OH + H2O)
