I thought of something... Being able to change environments... Lets say there's a button sort of like the display mode button. And this new button will change the environment.
So there could be environments like....
â— default... where it's space-like.
â—Gravity... where at the bottom there's ground and all the solids fall to the ground in the shape it was drawn.
â—(from ssc4k)Directional gravity... Where particles can go the gravity you choose with a shortcut key.
________________________________________________________ This won't be that efficient until we have gotten enough useful environments.
So that's all I've thought of for now... I might add more and add other people environment ideas..
that would take a lot of coding. we don;t even have a proper gravity. also, there is a no grav. version of pt. you can edit the one you have by changing the source.
If this gets though directional gravity control through the arrow keys would be a great way to modify the environment of TPT by allowing more complex machines, design, and gameplay. It wouldn't be that hard to code in either.
Perhaps the previously ill fated sandbox temp would be a good environment variable also?
I was thinking the same almost since I discovered the Powder Toy. Another suggestion would be centric gravity, where everything goes to the middle; or orbital gravity where everything tries to orbit the middle; or reverse gravity where everything went away from the middle. A probably more difficult one to make would be collective gravity, where objects attract to each other.
lols time for relativity! jokes don't know how it could be programed (ie the attraction to seperate entities) but would be extremely good for TPT to have these gravity abilites IMO
