EMP acts as an electromagnetic pulse, breaking any electronics that are currently carrying sparks.
EMP can be sparked by any conductor in the game (including pressurized QRTZ), creating a blue flash on screen.
Some elements (PSCN, NSCN, PTCT, NTCT, activated SWCH, INST) are converted to a random mixture of BREL and NTCT when EMP hits them, often creating an infinite spark loop that causes the BREL to heat up. This is sometimes hot enough to melt metals, which can set any nearby INSL on fire as well. Any DLAY within a 2-pixel radius of a SPRK has its temperature randomized, while unactivated SWCH, ARAY near sparks breaks into BREL.
"Normal" conductors (METL, TTAN, IRON, RBDM, BMTL, TUNG, pressurized QRTZ) and INWR are not affected by EMP.
It takes 220 frames for the EMP to be recharged to fire again.
