Well if the concept of quantum foam is to be believed then there may not be a big crunch so much as a mass annialation of particles and anti-particles over an extended period of time...
I knew nerds would be here!
Wait... we don't know FOR CERTAIN taht the universe will in fact end in the big crunch. With the dark flow caused by the gravitational forces of other universes (maybe) and so-called "dark energy", which is probably just mass that, like dark matter, interacts differently to the four fundemental forces, the universe's expansion rate has sped up, so we might end up having an infineitley large universe...
Umm.. the singularity that exploded to form the uni/multiverse would be invisible, right? It would have all the mass/energy in the universe right there, so its gravitational force would prevent anything of any form to escape its event horizon, just like with today's black holes. And how do we know that there was only one singularity out there in the vast and endless space? There could have been matter, antimatter, AND dark matter singularities, Each creating all three types of matter, but PREFERABLY creating only one, and ours ended up creating a LITTLE more matter than antimatter, creating the universe we have now. And since no one seems to get this, when I have a sign pointing to a matter universe that says "Milky Way" on it, that means it is pointing to one of the many tiny points of light in the universe, and that point of light is the milky way. Does everyone get that now?
read everything plz, start with the second really long comment
Also nobody yet knows whats further than our universe all people know is that universe is not neverending and that it has a point where it stops expanding and starts going back and becoming smaller untill its a single particle which then changes into another big bang. Also people might think that there was nothing at the begginning cuz they could is it in any way. At the begginning there was no matter or antimatter, there was also no electromagnetic spectrum which means that there was no light, sound, heat/temperature, no gravity, no ultra violet, nothing all there was, was a tiny a load!!! smaller than atom ball of pure super compressed energy. If you go on youtube and search for the big bang you might find the video which shows how that thing with pure energy might have looked like
Milky Way is not a universe its a galaxy in a matter universe, Also your theory might be true, there probably is a dark matter universe, dark matter is not antimatter. By the way you are wrong Pi-Creations because matter can be created and can be destroyed as matter is basicly attoms. It is ENERGY that can't be created or destroyed. Also msasterisk you might be wrong because when big bang happened it created lots of matter and lots of antimatter. When they touch each other they destroy each (as they are opposites) in a flash/explosion of energy. When this happened a giant natural war happened when matter and antimatter kept bubping into each other. Fortunately for us there was just a bit more matter than antimatter. Then when everything cleared from the space fog left behind by these explosion galaxies started to form. So if there is an antimatter universe it must be very very very very....... ...... far from any matter universe. Scientists and me and you and pretty much everybody knows barely anything about antimattter or dark matter so we aren't sure how these universes would work and we will probably never know because if we actually find an antimatter universe we will never be able to search or go in/close to it cuz we would be destroyed. Also going back to the matter being destroyable, it can be destroyed as matter is atoms so what happens in Fission is nuclear bomb??? Exactly! It is energy that can't be created or destroyed
Oh and pi-creations... antimatter is not the same as dark matter- dark matter barely reacts with matter at all, while a pound of antimatter on earth would probably blow our home planet out of existence.
A long commant for a long(er) one.
And Pi-Creations, wasn't newton kinda wrong? E=mc2, Einstien's equation, states that matter and energy are pretty much the same thing and that they can convert into each other. So was the uni/multiverse created from energy or some kind of exotic, in-the-middle matter? Or are you right? Or is what I am saying just totaly wrong from the start?
