hi ShadowPlasma! Hanukkah is a jewish holyday. before 2000 years a cruel kingdom want to wipe owt the jews from the hisory. (not to kill, to convert all the jews) and we, the tiny land, israel, whit very tiny army win the war whit that strong and big kingdom, in the help of god. so in the candels we lighting we saying to the world: got make for us a miracle, and here we are, stil living in our land, israel!
