We use accelerated photonic lasers for particle weapons, and gravity sheilds unless very powerfull (if so then the poor crew probably are having a hard time breathing) they only deflect light debris from destroyed ships.
in atmosphere. i should have put that.
in space, being big does not mean slow...no friction. would need to worry about being to close or going to fast by planets, could get fudged there.
id:1598182 employed to attack latger ships like this one
thanks for the good feedback.
Good thing that the only thing the blows up other than the fuel tank is the living quarters! *One neutron* Good thing there wasn't any sheilding too! *Hint Hint, Wink Wink* (+1)
i love the way the nuclear fuel is kept right next to the living quarters. Just waiting for an accident to happen lol
if you use the gravity shields, you cant use any particle based weapons, and any allied ship near you that uses them will be useless, thats why i dont use them
at the moment tpt is being completely retarded. it keeps overwriting different saves with other ones.
@megacy, if you use a warp drive the acceleration time is much more of a factor, but if you are travelling a long distance, the maximum speed of your warp drive is more important. Think of a car race, one car accelerates faster, but has a lower top speed. both accelerate to full speed, but the one with the top speed will overtake the other car very quickly because the acceleration is only useful at the start (and the end in space) however the top speed is useful for most of the way through.
