Nasa has sent Man to Mars in the near future in the program called Ares. This is Ares 3 in hich there are 6 astronauts which have used the MDV (Martian Desceding Vehicle) to get to the surface of mars from the Hermes. Inspired by 'The Martian' novel

    yea i agree that is what i thought, by the description in the book. However this is the movies, they always chane things, like they changed venkat to vincent, he supposed to be indian!

    i didn't really like the outside of the HABs in the movie. when i read the book i pictured them having a much more rigid structure, sort of like hard fabric inflated inside a short cylindrical metal cage. like this https://alanschuyler.files.wordpress.com/2011/12/2011-review-mars.jpg (sort of)
