The EXOT is still interacting with eachother even though the game is paused. Can anyone explain this. Its not just an illusion, zoom in to see it.

    yep. just the way th game is made. like gold just keeps sparkling.

    Funny thing is, even the preview changes every time I load the save and when I press buttons such as Fav. I assume the preview is rendered on the client side.

    They are not interacting with one another, that's just the way EXOT is rendered. The same happens with GOLD, which keeps sparkling even when you pause the simulation. Line 183 and below in EXOT.cpp.
