    AFAIK it's for turning saltwater->water and not water->distilled water. Just so people know... ;)

    There are two reasons that gel is faster; it absorbs water faster, and can hold 100 water rather than only 50. It can also transfer water to spng, making its life go far above 50, so it releases water.

    @12M21 Yeah your right. I think the gel has more water capaity than the sponge so it suks the water faster and since it forces it into sponge it ms=ust make it output a lot.
