The magnatar is in the center of the brown dwarf, The brown dwarf would've collapsed onto the magnatar if it wasnt for its magnetic field holding all the hot energized gas up. As for the magnatar itself, it shows extreme signs of being the power source, emitting way more energy than it should be. The small object orbiting the brown dwarf seems to have a connection the the superposition

What did I find about the magnetar? If I can, I scan it for anything unusual that could give clues about how the anomaly was formed.
-
The black hole seems to be the similarity between the regions linking the anomolies together, while the magnatar is confirmed to exist.
-
The probes now do much more detailed scans of the black hole, searching for anything unusual, in an attempt to find out about the magnetar (if it exists), or the relation that the black hole has to the anomaly.
-
The tacterians have not thought much of it, But they mention that there seems to be a powerful magnatar feeding off the rotational energy of the black hole in order to generate a much more powerful magnetic field. Despite their being no magnatar to be seen.
-
The Charulians contact the Tacterians. "We have done low risk observations of the anomaly, and discovered an unusual magnetic field that is related to the anomaly, and has been around for a very long time. What do you know about this magnetic field?"
-
The 1/3x magnetic strength has been here since 1 million years ago, before that, the magnetic field was 1/9 what it is currently. It has stayed at 1/9 since its creation.
-
The highest nearby magnetic fields are dwarfed by the black hole closer by. However, the brown dwarfs field still sticks out just as much as it used to. Closer examination of the magnetic field linse shows that the black hole and the brown dwarf are, in fact, magnetically linked. This may be why none of the superpositions occure away from supermassive black holes.
