    Laser is an acronym and lazer is a common mispelling of that acronym. But still +1 cause it's cool.

    By the way, they stand for 'Light Amplified by the Stimuated Emission of Radiation' and 'Tom A Smith's Electric Rifle' (I think it's some obscure movie reference).

    Laser is spelt 'laser' not 'lazer'. It stands for something - it's not just a word!!!
