    @ErrigorTheFallen Mass is not converted into energy! It's a simple principle of nuclear physics! Energy is released from the reactants.

    Antimatter would not behave like either example. If an electron were to collide with a positron, or a proton with an antiproton, their subatomic bonds would be destroyed and release energy as electromagnetic radiation (heat, light etc...), no energy would be released in the form of mass because all the mass present in the reactants was converted into energy by the reaction. No neutrons or other particles except for photons would be present.
