    @ALark: I agree with your explanation of the BMTL element, but it does not justify PHOT overcoming up to 3 layers of other elements, including DMND. Thanks for comment.

    ALark: Yes it's true. But the interesting thing is that from this point, PHOTs penetrate and cross layers, up to 2 pixels thick, in most materials.

    This is because BMTL is partially-reflecting. So PHOT can enter BMTL with 50% chance.
