    This is when something appears to be one way but in reality it is something completely different. This theme not only in this save but in many other poems. In this save the theme is used as it appears as if he is happy but in reality he is depressed. Also in poems like "Dulce et Decorum est" by Willfred Owen the appearance is that fighting in war as a solider is something that boys and men should aspire to become, but in reality, war is something that no man or human should go through.
