i know, its just i think that i thought that i was technicaly focusing the bast at a pesific area -

That is not an atom bomb, That is just the side effects of fusion. The atom bomb on the other hand, is a fission bomb, meaning it uses atoms of U-235 or plutonium (all its isotopes are explosive so it varies) and splits them using neutrons. The splitting of atoms creates one more neutron and more heat and pressure causing it ,if it has a critical mass, to explode.
