An educational look at a nuclear pile. Piles weren't often created to generate power, being instead used for nuclear experimentation and for fabricating plutonium. Now with toggles for more interactivity.

ok there is actually only one problem that is VERY unlikely to cause a problem. i tested this by setting the temp of the ttan to 3000C to blow it all off and the wires for the coolant flow made two 1px holes. soution: two px of crmc on the wires. it will shutdown even if the pressure setting is at its highest.

it actually stabilizes with the 10 pressure valve at 1420C

atomic piles are like how pulse jets are to turbojets; simple, can use almost any fuel, and cheap to make. +1

and since i forgot to say: the reactor can now run continuously without melting! it's been a long time coming, but if it's kickstarted at pres. 10 and operated at 5, it'll level at around 300-400 :]

cool patch note: fixed pressure leak in the pressuriser, should just about pressurise properly now

RandomWatermelon1: the pressure bit pressurises the reactor, it's meant to run at about ~5 but i included the 10 just as a kickstarter

i went afk and forgot i had this running and when i came back it was around 1000C and it melted a bit of the open and close-able pipe lol. also what does the pressure thing at the top of the pipe that takes the glow up do?

NoraCodes: i tried my best! it is a shame that it's so difficult to properly demonstrate stuff like uranium isotopes and fission by neutrons, but hey, you work with what you have i suppose

This is a super neat save, thanks! It's interesting to me how TPT nuclear physics is, frankly, awful, but manages to get the idea across anyway.
