regardless, the hull is the best place to put them in this case to optimize autoloader speed and ammo capacity, if it was a larger tank I might have them spread out
-
I just checked and apparently there aren't tanks irl with this feature. Or rather, if there are, i don't know which ones, therefore I cannot make the claim that there are. My first point still stands though
-
Desty: Counterpoint, this is a fictionnal vehicle, the controls might have been simplified for that purpose. Also some tanks have this feature (or something close to it) in real life.
-
Gowate: Counterpoint, every member of the crew is physically incapable of pressing enough buttons to operate a tank.
-
Sometimes when you send a comment it doesn't show up so you don't know if it actually got sent or not so just in case I sent it a second time in two parts
-
If you give total control of the vehicle to every crew member, then it's even better and the vehicle can still be usefull even when most of the crew is incapacitated
-
I still don't think having the entire crew in one spot is optimal, at least they're not all in the turret. But it's not like I know what I'm talking about, I just play War Thunder a bit so my knowledge is very limited, my guess was just that spreading out the crew, while making it more likely for a crew member to get incapacitated, it makes the entire vehicle harder to one-shot.

Nub8585, yeah I can try but know Hesh in TPT is different than Hesh irl bc irl it does not actually penetrate the armor
-
Gowate: it's because they all get protected under the heavy hull armor, compared to if someone shot a blast through the turret, it would kill all those in that turret basket, but the hull has minimal weak points
