open and close the layer menu to swich layers can change the settings if wanted, swich to layers and do programming inside object, hide layer menu to go back to have more room. when on other layers a transparent image of prev layer is visible.

    This is a good idea, but it's a bit impractical. it would make TPT INCREDIBLY confusing for noobs and the older tpt users.

    i would so use this but i can see some complications with it. it would need something to allow you to see the layer above and below on the layer you are on so you know where to place what you want.
